(18) The separation of the spirit and the soul



The spirit is the image from God. The soul is the emotion from from the parents. These two can not be combined like water and oil. One will be die. The spirit is died in the flesh from the parents, and the soul is died in the body from God. So spirits of all human beings are dead because the soul surrounds the spirit like a snake. The spirit is trapped in clay. The spirit can not alive unless it is born again as a spiritual body. We must deny the soul to be born with a spiritual body. I will crucify me on Jesus'cross because there is a seed of a snake in my mind. The veil of the temple was divided just as Jesus was died. The spirit and the soul are separated when we are died with Jesus.

『For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.』(Hebrews 4: 12-14) The Word of God divides soul, spirit, and marrow. The soul is a thought that comes from the flesh. The spirit revives when the soul is died on the cross. The soul is an oldself. This is expressed in baptism.

『Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.』(Romans 6: 6) For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?『And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.』 (Hebrews 3: 316-19) The Hebrew people were the people who stirred God up in the wilderness for 40 years. In church today, most of the members are like this. The soul, the spirit, and the marrow must be cleaved before they are born again. It means to deny everything before.

(2) The kingdom of God as the spirit world

Human beings can not see the spiritual kingdom of God through the eyes of the flesh. God tells people about the kingdom of God through the Bible. John who was the apostle recorded in the book of Revelation the kingdom of God which he saw when he was confined in the island of Patmos. 『 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 』 (Revelation21:10-11) Jewels symbolize the suffering and the patience. And the Apostle Paul also said the experience. 『 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. 2. The kingdom of God (1) Heavens

(1) Heavens The heavens mean that there are several heavens. The first heaven is generally the atmosphere. The second heaven is outer space. Third, heaven means the kingdom of God. 『 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. 』 (2 Corinthians 12: 2) Genesis (1: 1) of niv Bible makes it seem as if the creation of heaven and earth of this world and the kingdom of God were made together.
