(5) The compare between NIV and KJV
NIV: New International Version
KJV: King
Jame’s Version
There are many difference of the translation between kjv and niv because the every original is different. kjv is the translation of the majority of texts (Received Text) in England in 1611. This is the Bible that Martin Luther read. niv is a translation of the revised Text in 1967. The movement to unify the world as a whole is rapidly expanding. In addition to political economy and culture, "One World Religion" movement is pursuing. Likewise, many of the concepts dealt with in theology are changing. It is absolutely necessary to know the meaning of the true Bible under such circumstances.
Matthew 26: 28
This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the
forgiveness of sins. (NIV)
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for
the remission of sins. (KJV)
NIV has been translated a covenant, not a new covenant. But, KJV has
been translated a new covenant. It is also expressed
in Luke 22: 19-20 as a new covenant.
Mark 9:23
『And straightway the
father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe;
help thou mine unbelief.』(kjv),『Immediately
the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my
unbelief"』(niv)
There is no
sentence『and said with tears』in niv.
Tears are a sure
expression of the mind. It shows the way of going sincerely to God through
tears. There is a clear difference between believing in tears and believing in
no tears.
John 3:14-15
『And as Moses lifted up the serpent
in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up That
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.』(John 3:14-15) There is a difference in meaning among the words of
verse 15 between niv and kjv:『that
everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.』(niv) and『That whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have eternal life.』(kjv) There isn't『should not perish』in niv

『Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection,
and the life: he that believeth in me,
though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in
me shall never die. Believest thou this?』(kjv)
『Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection
and the life.
He who
believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes
in me will never die. Do you believe this?"』(niv), There is a difference the content
between 『though he dies』(niv)
and『though he were dead.』(kjv)
『I am crucified with Christ:
neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I
now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and
gave himself for me.』 (Galatians 2:20)
The Bible speaks the being crucified with Christin Galatians. This is
not the future, but the Bible speaks that the believer has also been involved
with the events of the cross with Jesus two thousand years ago.
John 16:30-31
There is a difference of the translation in verse 31 between niv and
kjv. 『Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest
not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth
from God. Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?』(kjv), 『Now we can see that you know all things and that you do
not even need to have anyone ask you questions. This makes us believe that you
came from God." You believe at last! Jesus answered.』(niv)
There is a difference of the translation in verse 31 between kjv and
niv. Many people confessed that they believed in
Jesus.(section 30) But, Jesus says "Do you believe me?" in section
31(kjv). niv is the content to be compliment, but kjv is the content to be
strong denial of unbelief. Jesus pointed out that there is no faith in the Jews
who came to see the miracle. So Jesus said that they would leave when Any
circumstances comes. The situation is a cross. When Jesus died on the cross,
His disciples ran away, and the Jews condemned Jesus. If we had lived at that
time, we might have escaped in front of the cross. We are not saved unless we
are crucified with Jesus.
Acts 2:38
『Praising God, and having favour with
all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.』 (kjv),『praising
God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their
number daily those who were being saved.』(niv) There is the difference of the translation in the two sentences that
those who were being saved in the niv, and such as should be saved in the kjv.
niv (American
translation) is to be translated based on the doctrine of wrong salvation that
as If I believe in Jesus, I will be saved. This implies that even if baptized,
the faith can be separated from salvation unless the self-denial repentant.
Although the magician Simon was baptized through the deacons of Philip, Peter
told him that he was full of wickedness. So, Peter told him to repent.
Salvation is done through the self-denial repentant.
Romans 4:19
『And
being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was

into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope
of the glory of God.』(kjv),『through whom we have gained access by

of the glory of God.』(niv)
There is one
difference between the two sentences as that 『By whom also we have access by faith』(kjv) and『through whom we have gained access
by faith 』(niv)
The faith in
Christ is given by grace. In order to receive God’s grace, it must first be the faith of Christ. God gives the
repentant the faith of Christ. But before faith came, we were kept under the
law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. (Galatians
3:23)
Romans 8:1-2
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.』(kjv), Therefore,

law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ,
that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the
law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh
be justified.(kjv)
know that a man is not justified by observing the law,
but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus
that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law,
because by observing the law no one will be justified.(niv)
First, the believer must be the faith of Jesus Christ. There is no
faith in Christ, only in Christ. In the niv.
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by
the flesh?)』(kjv), 『Are
you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain
your goal by human effort?』(niv)
niv
emphasizes human effort

that believe.』(kjv)
First, the believer must be the faith of Jesus Christ. There is no
faith in Christ, only in Christ. In the niv.

Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything;
what counts is a new creation.
(niv), For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision

There is no
sentence『For in Christ Jesus 』in niv.
Ephesians 4:22-23

old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in
the spirit
of your mind;(kjv), You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to
put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be
made new in the attitude of your minds;(niv)
There is one
difference between the two sentences as that in the spirit of your mind』(kjv) and『in the attitude of your minds』(niv) Is it a
matter of mind or a matter of spirit? niv leads to the problem of mind such as
attitude. However, kjv is defined as a matter of spirit.

8
『Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the

things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ』(kjv), 『What
is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of
knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider
them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.』(niv)
There is one
difference between the two sentences as that『win Christ』(kjv) and『gain Christ』(niv) The salvation is easily felt in niv, but salvation is fighting and winning
in kjv.

in whom we
have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.(NIV), In whom we have redemption

it was needful for me to write unto you』(kjv) There is no sentence『common salvationin』in the niv
